Busy Bee

I mentioned in the part of my previous post that disappeared that I have joined a writing group that meets every other week. We receive a prompt via email and then we are to write about an early memory that comes up after reading the prompt. Last week was my first week to participate and it was very interesting. You read what you wrote to the group and they give you feedback on what they are hearing, which theoretically relates to how you are currently living your life. I did learn a few things about myself and about my reticence in trying to take myself seriously as I consider putting these things I do "out there" to sell (I explained all this much better in the post that disappeared!)

Anyway, here are examples of what I have been doing with my photographs. Putting them on artist's canvas is a different look from just leaving them as photographs. I don't necessarily think one is better than the other, it's just a matter of what one likes. The photos aren't that great, I was in a hurry and I had my camera set on a lower quality than usual.

These two are examples of how different the same photo looks. The top one has torn edges and is on canvas. The bottom one is the photograph framed (my reflection is in there because I took these photos quickly, not paying too much attention to details).

You can see the plain photo of this one in the previous post.

I posted this one as a photo a good while back.

  2. These are really cool. How do you print them on artist canvas, if you don't mind my asking?

  3. Annie these things are beautiful. I think m2 is right; there are probably lots of little shops that would either buy these outright from you or sell them on consignment or something! The Iris is beautiful. I have purple ones in my yard.

  5. m2 I am going to send you an email soon. But for now, here is the short answer: Thank you for loving them!

And no, I am probably not ready for this!

Rach They are "glued" onto the canvas using gel medium. Kind of like collages on canvas.

Flutterby Thank you for the vote of confidence!

Princess You mean it has not fallen apart yet??
