Summertime Colors

The first thing I thought of for summertime colors was flower photos. Then I remembered this photo of water pumps and their bright colors and sparkling water.

This one makes me giggle. The duck looks so expressive to me, almost like she is ready to tell the water pump a thing or two!

And below is a grunged up sunny yellow flower.

Suddenly I want to redo this one and say "Live in the place where you stand. Or move on." Oh yes, I want to redo this one (but I'm probably not going to be moving on in any area of my life anytime soon).

*Edited to add the new "thang" with added words. . .

  4. I'm reminded of something a woman in my church told me nearly forty years ago:"Bloom where you are planted!" What she meant was: "People are people wherever one goes, so stay with your roots and let God create in you, work through you in the place where He birthed you." Some truth there, for sure; but, like most adages, not the whole truth.... You also take me back, though, some sixty years with the water pumps. I haven't seen one like those in your picture in at least that long!

    1. "Bloom where you are planted!" I used to say that too, Jim! Forty years ago sounds about right. I was just a baby then!

    1. Thanks! The water pumps are at a local corn maze! We were there in the fall for a field trip. The kids use the water pumps to scoot the ducks back and forth.
