"Probably the reason we all go so haywire at Christmas time with the endless unrestrained and often silly buying of gifts is that we don't quite know how to put our love into words". Harlan Miller
He's probably right. Therefore, this year I resolve to learn how to do a better job of putting my love into words, thereby avoiding the problem of going haywire at Christmas time.
Happy New Year to y'all.
Oh, and here is a link to my new "favorite song". It makes me smile all over.
I love that song too!!! All those beach shots make me want to pack my bags and head to the islands.
ReplyDeleteLove that song. In fact, if you email me your address, I'll burn you a copy of that album and send it ti you! Happy New Year, Annie.
ReplyDeleteto you, not ti you. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteI love this song, too! The album is wonderful -- get it if you get the chance. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the quote and your resolution -- something we should all learn to do, in these times, especially.
Much love and best wishes for a FABULOUS 2007!
Happy New year, Annie- may it be a blessing for us all...
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool song. What is the name of the group and the album? I really like this.
ReplyDeleteHey Annie, when did you change the look of your blog? I like it, I like it! The song is sung by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, a Hawaiian singer who died nine years ago from respiratory problems resulting from extreme obesity. He was known as Iz and you can find his albums in Hastings (World Music) or online (http://www.e-hawaii.com/iz/). Hey come visit me now that I am blogging again. I will have to freshen up my site to keep up with the rest of you.
ReplyDeleteI have just one resolution: To buy a snowplow. And learn how to drive it... so I guess that's two.
