I don't often feel like I get black and white photos right. I played with these a while. I don't particularly like the top one but I do love the moodiness of the bare naked tree below. :) It almost looks like it would reach down and grab you.
I agree with you about the second tree. I think the top one is one-sided, which is why it doesn't seem quite right, maybe? But it's definitely bare naked!
It was an odd tree! I was going to take a picture of it because we weren't sure what kind of tree it was and then I got more distracted by the bare branches!
This is what I love about photography and people! See I really like the first one. Love the contrast between the two trees and because of the contrast, it really jumps out as bare naked, a PERFECT title!
WE've got some bulbs that bloom yearly, long stems and single pink flowers that my wife says are called "bare naked ladies", but I'm betting if they were planted anywhere near your tree, they would uproot and run away....
Great images! I like bare naked trees, too.

ReplyDeleteGlad you like it, Robin! I only wish I'd composed the shot a little better!
DeleteI love the second tree, lots of power there. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThank you, joyfulwise!
DeleteThe cemetery trees, for all their being nekkid, didn't seem dead or frail. Kinda weird.
ReplyDeleteBut I love these in B&W.
