Right now, I am wrestling with the dark side of me, the side that can be "malevolent and damaging"-primarily to myself.
Also right now, we are in the midst of a weather event that is dumping rain on us and prompting flash flood warnings. By the time you read this, I hope that has moved on.
Right now, I am smiling and waving. Do you see me?
(This is my contribution to Gallery 38 of the 52 Photos Project, "Right Now." and, you might notice, I mentioned week two's verb "wrestle" in this post. There will be more to come with the verb of the week, but first I have to ponder.)
I like the dark photo. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rach! I kind of like it too!
DeleteSmiling and waving back. Love your coffee mug. Peace with the wresting.
ReplyDeleteHi, POE (and then some)! Glad to see you here!
DeleteDocumenting your dark side is just as important as documenting the good side. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Cheryl, about documenting our dark sides!
DeleteSuch a moving photo of you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Robin!
DeleteWe are so often damaging to ourselves. I see you wrestle with dichotomy, too. Your top photo made me smile, the bottom one is so intense.
ReplyDeleteWrestling with dichotomy, wrestling of any kind, really, is not so easy, is it?!
DeleteDark sides are important to acknowledge, and gingersnaps are good to have.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, Madam Gingersnap Baker!
DeleteMade me smile, annie.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad, Daisy!
Deletehomebaked gingersnaps sound wonderful.
ReplyDeletehope the tunnel was short.
The gingersnaps were wonderful.
DeleteThe tunnel is bearable when I remind myself the feelings (and the darkness) are temporary (and a bit irrational).
Hoping the bad weather passed through with no harm done. I have lowered my coffee intake to just two or three a day; but one with a friend and conversation shared is always a nice event,,,,
