Trinkets

My strange collection of meaningful things: two angel heads, a guardian angel chotchkie, a candle, a pebble from my son's grave and the three cherubs reminding me that joy, though sometimes deeply hidden, is ever present.

  1. Your collection reminds me of a Robert Fulghum novel read a few months back, two of his main characters keeping a small pouch secured by a drawstring with four or five articles that held meaning only to them. The items were, for the most part, insignificant other than the value assigned them by their owner. Are not the greatest treasures those memories we hold in our heart.......

  2. Jim, I find such comfort in my memories. They are indeed treasures.

You say so very much with so little. Made me have a good look at my own trinkets.

What comes to me is that these are like an anchor that keeps the boat from being at the complete mercy of stormy waters. They are like an anchor in a time. It reminds me of what was and what is to come. It reminds me that there is more than what we see. I also think they're treasures.

    1. Thank you, Mich! Sometimes they feel as helpful as an anchor!

Don't just sit there staring, say something!
