- The good news is that he followed their protocol when he left.
- He's staying at my aunt's house in Houston, which was the plan for when he completed the program.
- He's going to NA meetings every day and has put applications at several places for a job.
Thanks to all of you have been praying. We are all hurting right now but we will adjust and move on from here. It's what families do.
Well, that's not the best news but it's not the WORST news, either. Hey, that's something, right?
ReplyDeleteI will continue to pray for him and for your family. God bless, Annie.
I suppose you are right Jules. I know I need to quit letting my fear get the best of me (among other things).
ReplyDeleteGlad that he's ok. Praying for all of you and especially for freedom from fear.
ReplyDeleteRach Thanks very much. That is a biggie, the freedom from fear.
ReplyDeleteOh Annie! I'm thinking of you all and praying that it all goes well. Wouldn't it just be marvellous if he does well between now and December?
ReplyDeleteThe things we can't control in the people we love the most have the greatest ability to cause such pain. You can see it, but they just don't.
ReplyDeleteYou know what, though, the people we love the most probably feel that way about us.
I am sure that this what they mean by the Serenity Prayer.
I just think it would be better called the Scared Out of My Wits Prayer or the I Am Gonna Need Some Help Here Prayer.
That's what I always say at times like these, "I am gonna need some help here!"
I pray that you get it: help, wit and serenity.
Praying for you and your boy.
ReplyDeleteI like Cynthia's idea...praying for help for you, safety and wisdom for your son.
ReplyDeleteDeep breaths, Annie, and exhale prayers.
ReplyDeleteLinda Thanks. So far, so good. It would be marvelous if he will hang in there and continue to do what he needs to do. He's been clean now for over a year.
ReplyDeleteCynthia I think I need both--the Scared Out of My Wits Prayer AND the I Am Gonna Need Some Help Here Prayer!
Patti Thank you. It's been hard this time around, to know how to pray for him.
Grace Thanks. It's been tough. I was had just begun to believe he might make it all the way through this program. I have to keep reminding myself that ultimately, it will not be a program that changes him.
David I'm tryin', I'm tryin'. It ain't easy.
