Forward Trajectories

In no particular order:

• I've been doing a lot of reading, particularly in a book called The Van Gogh Blues. It is about depression and the creative person. Linda of Quotidian Curiosities was intuitive enough to recommend it to me and Linda, it has been one enlightening book. Thanks for pointing it out to me.
• I joined Curves, the women's workout place. I am having trouble getting myself there as often as I ought to be going but joining is a start. We are also trying to eat more consciously at work.
  
• I finally got my phone line fixed. My problem was due to a short in the jack.
• I am looking into changing jobs and have sent two applications in for civil service jobs. I took the civil service exam Saturday and feel like I aced it. The whole idea of changing jobs is difficult for me because of low confidence levels and not much official training to offer. Also because I start feeling guilty about leaving the old job, even though I have good reason to do so.
• I am going to start work with a spiritual director very soon. I have been in a spiritual funk for quite some time now and I think the timing is right for me to do this, even though it is a tradition that is completely foreign to my upbringing.
• I have not been out to take photos lately but I hope to get back to it soon. The anti-depressant I have been on has really muted my creative desires, but they seem to be slowly coming back. I have also not done much in the area of "artsy-fartsy" activity and am looking forward to getting back with that as well.
• I want to get back to writing more regularly on my blog, but now I have blurted out all my news, what on earth will I write about?
  

First Quarter Report

It could be summed up in three words: sort of crappy. That's about all I want to say about that! Brighter days are surely just around the corner.

Our Easter

We went to Houston for the day yesterday to see my son. My husband and I drove over with our two daughters and my two "granddogs". We went in daughter's vehicle that uses too much gas but has lots of room. All the humans were on their best behavior and in good moods. Even hubby did not complain when the (large) dogs started passing gas and we had to roll down a window on the interstate to keep from being asphyxiated by doggie gas. Other than that, they were excellent passengers and stayed buckled in the back seat for the entire ride.

The only other negative was that I had taken the camera to get family photos while we were all together and I completely forgot.

Regularity: It's Not All It's Cut Out to Be

I am "regular" again, and posting this from my house! I feel like I have a lot to write about, but I'd rather y'all just somehow read my mind because for some reason, I am feeling lazy about posting! I'll be back in a day or two with something...

The Library is Fun, Being Irregular is Not

I am still unwired. The phone suddenly started working and I thought everything had fixed its self, but no, it has not. So here I am at the library again. I am way behind on my blog reading and commenting. Reminds me of the days when we came home after Hurricane Rita.

It's very interesting here at the library, I must admit. I have been listening to a mother and daughter looking at baby furniture. They just left because their minutes were running out and she could not finish her check out procedure. They have now left the building and are going to the store to "just buy it". I think they are headed to KMart. They have to hurry because "it go off sale tomorrow". They are going to put that baby in a black baby bed. Can you believe that? Black is not a baby color, in my humble and correct opinion (unless maybe, you are SpookyRach).

And when I went to check my Yahoo mail, some poor schmuck had forgotten to sign himself out. I had fun sending him an email from his own address, telling him how important it was to be sure and sign out, especially when using a public computer. I told him I could have made a big mess if I were a dishonest person up to no good.

Our temperatures have been in the low 40s, and they may dip into the 30s tonight. Is that not crazy? My redbud tree is blooming. That is my personal harbinger of Spring. (Is harbinger a real word, and does it mean what I mean it to mean in this context? I will have to look it up after I make this post. The library does not have the browser where you can open more than one tab.)

I have enjoyed reading all of your comments. Y'all are so funny! I'll be back around regular before too long. I miss being regular. : (

An Important Note to all Three of my Readers!

My email has been out since Monday evening. I have not deserted my blog! And I have not been able to read blogs. I'm posting this from the local library. Hopefully I will be back online by Monday or Tuesday.
