Thanks Giving

Day 10:

I am very thankful for a pleasant drive to Houston with my youngest daughter. She drove, and did very well, thank you very much! Also, the music problem was not much of a problem. On the way over we listened to Carole King's Tapestry CD. I have loved that CD since I was her age (back when it was an eight-track tape!) and now she loves it too.

  1. Well who couldn't love "Smackwater Jack, Yeah?"

    I'm just sayin'...

  2. Jules It is my opinion that CD does not have a bad song on it! Funny you mention "Smackwater Jack", she had a few questions about that one!

  3. Heyjules, you are right on! I love the song 'Tapestry' - the very first thing I ever sang alone in public. Seventh grade talent show; I sat at the piano, played and sang.

Still sitting, playing and singing today...

Nice walk down memory lane, Annie - and nice that your daughter made the trip with you!

  4. Grace I LOVE the Tapestry song! It touches me deeply, though I wish I understood it more clearly.

  5. My son, his friend, and I traveled together to Maine (10 hours). My son's friend loves to listen to '70's music and was amused to learn that I knew all the words to the oldies.

Don't just sit there staring, say something!
